BOGY - Vocational Orientation at Grammar Schools

Class 10 students get a taste of working life at SCHWARZ

In a cooperation with the Leibniz Gymnasium in Rottweil, after a 2-year Corona break, 2 students again completed the extended BOGY at Gebr. Schwarz.

Initially, the students spend 6 afternoons in various areas of production, thus gaining an insight into operational processes. The 2nd part of the BOGY is carried out in a full-time week, in which a concrete project is worked on. In our case, the students built a miniature model of the Thyssen test tower.

First, a project plan and specification were drawn up according to which the individual components were to be manufactured. Metalworking activities such as turning, milling and drilling were learned. Electronic components were connected using soldering processes. A real highlight was the use of the 3D printer, which was used to create the outer skin of the tower, among other things.

On May 18, at the "Evening of Technology", the project was presented by Johanna Pfeiffer and Cyrill Bossauer to an audience of teachers, parents and representatives of industry at the Leibniz Gymnasium in Rottweil.
