SCHWARZ as a best practice example
On November 25, SCHWARZ hosted an event on the topic of business succession. The event was organized by the Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK). Many thanks to Marlene Roming, Mr. Trogisch, and everyone involved.
Highlights of the day:
Keynote 1: Djurdjica Radulovic-Wagner presented exciting approaches on how companies can become less dependent on individual persons – for greater efficiency and sustainable success.
Keynote 2: Ute Villing spoke openly about “taboo topics” that must not be overlooked in successful succession planning. One of the most memorable quotes: “Unspoken wishes today are tomorrow's reproaches.”
Keynote 3: Practical report from Gebr. Schwarz GmbH:
- Uwe Schwarz (transferor) provided insights into the transfer process.
- Danny Schwarz (transferee) shared his perspective on the duration and constellation.
- Jens Roth (managing director) reported on his role as coach and mentor.
At the subsequent networking meeting, participants were able to engage in intensive discussions and delve deeper into individual topics in working groups.
Conclusion: Business succession is more than a formal process—it is an interplay of trust, communication, and clear structures.
