Gebr. Schwarz awarded to "company of the month"
The economic promotion association Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg, awarded Gebr. Schwarz to the “company of the month”. The award is established since 9 years, while founding the economic promotion association by the districts of Rottweil, Tuttlingen and Villingen-Schwenningen. The main intention of this award is the awareness and increase of regional company’s familiarity – the so called hidden champions.
Gebr. Schwarz was nominated to this award by the Volksbank Rottweil, personally by Alois Schanz. To get the certificate “company of the month”, different criteria’s need to be fulfilled and finally a jury needs to feel confident that the company has deserved this award. Ralf Broß, mayor of the city of Rottweil, congratulated the general management and handed over the certificate. He pointed out the presence of Schwarz at the economy day 2010 in Rottweil while they impressed with a best practice sample for innovative metal substitution.
The company is characterized also by multifarious employer sponsorships such as health days, nutrition workshops and back therapy trainings. A sustainable environmental and energy policy helps the company to act in synergy of economy and ecology.
Gebr. Schwarz is always acting clear-sighted to the future. The family owned company was founded in1966 and is now leaded in the 2nd generation by Uwe Schwarz. The continuation of Schwarz is ensured by a succession plan, whereby Danny Schwarz will take over the company in 3rd generation.
IHK president Dieter Teufel was also a congratulator and emphasizes the high importance, the diversity and the stability of mid-size companies in the region. He said “these ventures take care and demonstrate a high responsibility in generating workplaces and apprenticeships in our region”.
